A black-tie celebration
between fjords and MOUNTAINS
A Wedding Celebration Fully Felt
Heidi & Robin | Sunnmøre, Norway
Some weddings are grand in scale. Others feel grand because of how deeply they are lived.
Heidi and Robin gathered their loved ones in the fjords of Western Norway for a day that felt soft, joyful, and entirely their own. The day began with a church ceremony before guests boarded boats and continued the celebrations surrounded by mountains, gardens, and the gentlest summer light.
Inside the conservatory at Hotel Union Øye, overflowing florals by Ro & Raff transformed the space into a romantic garden, with pastel blooms climbing the fireplace and candlelight flickering long into the evening. Thoughtfully planned by Amanda Costa Thompson, every detail felt elegant without ever overshadowing what mattered most: the people gathered there.
This was a wedding filled with beauty, certainly—but even more so, with warmth, joy, and the kind of love that makes everyone around it feel at home.

Celebrating Among the Mountains

Set against the dramatic mountains of Western Norway, the celebration unfolded at Hotel Union Øye, a historic hotel known for its romantic atmosphere and spectacular surroundings. With guests arriving by boat and celebrations continuing in the garden conservatory, the day felt effortlessly connected to the landscape—an experience that perfectly captures why so many couples choose to celebrate their wedding in the mountains.
Whether in the fjords of Norway, the Swiss Alps, the Dolomites, or anywhere couples gather among mountains, these celebrations share something special: a sense of wonder, intimacy, and connection to the landscape.
